      Neat. Assuming those are all/mostly county lines, we already do that for our study area around Houston.

      Was confused when I saw that California central coast was a region by its own at first.

      Mojave and pacifica are so cursed, most of the population comes from being a part of LA, and the border between the area is nonexistent in real life.

      This also is a great way to show the difference between what rural areas of the eastern and western US are like. Look at the areas in Appalachia, and then compare them to the Great Plains and East Cascadia areas.

      I just dislike some of names.
      Great Basin -> Deseret
      Apple -> Greater Manhattan
      For other I can’t think better alternatives but I don’t like most

      Why on earth would you put Alaska with the central California coast rather than with Bellingham, WA? There’s even a ferry between them!

      The Long Island Sound thing is weird because now “Apple” aka NYC and New York don’t even border each other.

      Looked at the map and believe that 22 states would go to Harris and 28 to Trump in the election (Puerto Rico would likely also go to Trump). I think Biden won South Texas, Arizona, Houston, Central Florida, Sierra Nevada, New York, and Miami as well.

      That is some serious border gore in Central Florida. I guess some is inevitable, but that border with Florida Rica is a horrifying gerrymander shape.

      Also, „Superior“ refers to the UP. Minnesota should just stay „Minnesota“ or become „Funkyland.“

      Also also, making Missouri give up KC & get stuck with Iowa sort of makes sense, but will feel like violence to the rest of the Western side of Mo., let alone to the yankees in Iowa.

      Alaska has close ties to Seattle, most of its supply to the mainland goes through there.

      I get you’re trying to make it halfway between Hawaii and AK, but linking th3m with a random piece of Central California as Pacifica makes no sense.

      I would link AK with Seattle and HI with San Fran, which is the 2nd biggest port city in CA.
