IN has a state memorial to the USS Indianapolis. Close enough.

Reposting after making some fixes to the map. It includes all ships and boats that have been officially designated as a state symbol by the state government.

The USS Alabama is docked in Mobile, Alabama. Don’t know if it’s „official“ but the ship was purchased with donations from school kids in the early sixties. Don’t know if the plaque is still there, but there was a plaque listing the name of the children who donated.
A nickel, dime or maybe a quarter, it was a lot of money for a kid then. My sister’s name is on that plaque…..Mama had one dime and my sister got the honor. Hope to see that someday.

Isn’t Ohio’s state ship the USS Ohio?

The pirogue is technically the state artifact of Illinois, designated in 2016. It’s also suspiciously similar to “pierogi.”

What’s the definition of „official ship“? Would the Battleship North Carolina (museum ship now) count? [https://battleshipnc.com/](https://battleshipnc.com/)

The fact that Idaho isn’t USS Hawkbill is a crime.
Governor Little, instead of endorsing shitty mayoral candidates do something productive and make this happen.
