Why is a demented, corrupt old relic like Trumpty Dumpty even included in these peace talks. He brings nothing rational to the table and is recognized as a stooge for Putin. He should stay home and try to deal with the messes he has created in his own country. Ukraine has already stated that they are not going to become another Afghanistan. Any peace will involve them.
Trump and Putin trying to decide over the fate of others without their consent, just confirms yet again that both of them have rapist minds.
Ukraine counters with :
Russia must completely leave Ukraine’s internationally recognized sovereign territory, Russia must pay full reparations to all civilians and businesses affected in Ukraine as well as pay for rebuilding everything they destroyed, Russia must return all abducted civilians and children, Russia must turn over all war criminals including Putin to ICC. Russia will have to accept full EU and NATO membership for Ukraine, Ukraine to restore their nuclear armaments. New NATO base and nuclear/military installations in Ukraine. Borscht to be publicly declared a Ukrainian dish on Russian state tv.
Trump needs his alone time with his pimp first. He’ll surrender a bunch of shit and then try to get Ukraine to just roll over. He’s a good bottom B
The intent from Washington seems pretty clear on this. The US will push this peace plan. It gets rejected by Ukraine, who will be backed by the Europeans, and the US then gets to wash their hands of the whole thing saying „well we tried but Europe and Ukraine are just warmongers“. The US then abandons Ukraine entirely to their fate, leaving the Europeans as Ukraine’s only major backers.
There are many ideological elements within the White House that want the US entirely out of Europe and strategically disentangled with them. Vance is the biggest proponent, and his puppeteers. Miller also has a burning hatred for Europe too. Russia will be all too happy to have that result, and so are likely pressing on Trump for the same.
Europe has always had the ability to take the lead on Ukraine. They just couldn’t muster enough unity or commit enough resources to make it happen. Despite all the chest thumping about not needing to rely on the US re:Ukraine, they have continually dropped the ball and failed to give Ukraine the support that it needs.
But I suppose it is easier and cheaper to simply blame Trump when things fall apart, rather than taking full responsibility for their own backyard
