You mean that a lawyer who has never run an investigation before messed up? I’m shocked!

    2. It is bedrock procedure to give a grand jury the full & final indictment they are signing off on, when you’re asking them to find probable cause and kick off the process of potentially putting a life away. That this was abused is immediate grounds to shitcan the case right now; this is over already.

When you put a turd in a position of responsibility all you get is shit stains everywhere.

    4. Man, I shudder to think how much worse shit we’d be knee-deep in right now, if these fascist fucks weren’t so incredibly incompetent.

The judge made a great point. He asked how the prosecutor was able to come to an independent conclusion just 1 day after taking the job, and right after Trump told her to prosecute.

She claims she did it on her own. But how did she review the full case and all the evidence so quickly? And why was that the first thing she did?

    6. Just in case anyone needed additional confirmation this administration is being staffed by incompetent buffoons tripping over their own shoelaces.

    7. The court should assume this was intentional and dismiss the charges with prejudice.

    8. The media/reporting is failing its paramount duty, once again.

Calling this „botched“ is like calling someone who pulled the trigger on a murder „botching“ holding the weapon properly.

      Fucking hell…

Bro was innocent anyways. Also, he had the dream team of lawyers up against an idiot.

    10. When you are a corrupt administration and rely on corrupt people to do your bidding. Don’t be surprised when those people are incompetent and unable to do anything properly.

The part that makes me laugh is the statute of limitations being a factor. Doesn’t need to be dismissed with prejudice. Just by dismissing it, the trump administration will be screwed.

The newsweek article gave me the impression the DOJ was intentionally submitting improper/ false paperwork with forged signatures…which is a crime- not an oopsie…

    12. This is what happens when Toadstool Trump tell HQ or whatever is upstairs to follow his lead. Most of his female lawyers have been chosen for their physical qualities and not actual lawyer ones.

„Botched paperwork“ is a weird way to state what happened. She tried to circumvent a grand jury and falsified that it had been approved by them, so what was botched… people finding out?

    14. Botched is a strange way to say they submitted a forged indictment to the court.

    15. This isn’t just “paperwork.”  Not showing the indictment to the grand jury is a substantive procedural step.

    16. It was NOT „botched paperwork.“ That makes it sound like a simple clerical error.
It was intentional fraud on the part of a partisan DOJ goon working under direct orders from POTUS.

    17. Due to „Botched Paperwork“? The accurate term is Due to „Corrupt Intent to Indict Comey by Defrauding Grand Jury and Federal Court“

I am so dismayed by the timidity of today’s media

    18. > In a stunning admission, prosecutors in the James Comey case conceded that the two-count indictment against the former FBI director was never presented to or voted on by a grand jury.

This is a bit more than ‚botched paperwork‘, it’s literal circumvention of due process.

God the trump administration is so inept. They can’t even be corrupt and politically prosecute people correctly.

    20. NUMBerONEisFIRST on

Who would have thought going after a top prosecutor would turn into them finding a way to slither out of being charged with anything.

Trump going after Comey just shows how stupid his fucking administration is.

    21. „Botched“ suggests that this was accidental. This was absolutely, without a doubt, intentional.

    22. Smaynard6000 on

The thing that most frustrates me about this is that the only point of it is to use the legal system to harass Comey. It doesn’t matter if there is no possibility of conviction. The fact that this a pain in Comey’s ass is the whole reason our tax dollars are being spent on this farce.

    23. So if I try to enforce a contract that isn’t what I discussed with the other party and I signed it for them, is that now called “Botched Paperwork?”

This sort of gives me hope about the Epstein thing. This administration is not nearly competent enough to cover up EVERYTHING.

    25. Most-Artichoke6184 on

This is just either mind blowing incompetence or mind blowing corruption. There’s no other option.

    26. Peppers-GhostMirror on

„Botched“ you say? I think you mean purposefully altered to mislead a grand jury so as to indict a viewed political rival by a corrupted DOJ, FBI and administration.

If „yes“, then that’s what „botched“ means here.

    27. westergames81 on

„Botched paperwork“ is a really nice way to say she tried lying to speed this through.

    28. aslan_is_on_the_move on

It wasn’t botched, it was bait and switch. Show the grand jury one indictment to vote on, then have them sign a different indictment
