    1. > Carney is open to considering such a project if Alberta, as the proponent, conducts the necessary Indigenous consultation and negotiates with the B.C. government, among other conditions, the official said.

This is all i can really ask for as a British Columbian, it would be extremely insulting if the federal government and Alberta just steamrolled our objections (which is what they’ve been asking for).

I am currently opposed to the pipeline but i would be in favour if we got at least 40% of the profits/royalties of such a pipeline. Let’s see how serious Albertans are about their whole schtick about how pipelines “benefit the whole country”. Currently there is only one main beneficiary of such a project, and that is the treasury of the Province of Alberta.

Carneys quite brilliant, this wont make Smith happy .

I think people have a mass misunderstanding of what brookfeild hired Carney for .

Carney providing a lane exemption for this project does absolutely nothing but removes the optics so heavily played by Trudeau and BC NDP .

There will be no proponent with out absolute indemnity, the NC crude line is dead in the water with or with out regulations and Instead of playing in the optics Carney will expose it.

Its still risky, the coastal nations are quiet in resolution and a religious like conviction in opposing crude anywhere near the Skeena and tide , I dont even know if this will stir them much , they’ll react when physically poked .

Smiths playing with alot of Albertans jobs right now , im literally sitting on a plane heading to the coast with them now .

Theres a hornet nest in this region that im sure of and I am pro oil and gas .

Carney should be directing the RCMP to investigate UCP corruption and stop negotiating with separatists like Danielle altogether.
