US has less than 3 cases per 100,00 people. African countries can have as high as 500 cases per 100,00. US seems to be doing just fine on the TB front even if case counts have increased slightly recently, from 2.5 per 100k to 2.9 per 100k. It’d be a lot easier to bring down high case loads vs. miniscule case loads.

For those wondering – the United States is one of the only countries that doesn’t routinely vaccinate with the BCG vaccine to prevent tuberculosis. The only way to get vaccinated with BCG as an American is to either have bladder cancer, or travel abroad and get the vaccine there.
Last I checked, travel clinics in London charge around $100 – you have to get a tuberculosis skin test first, and then they’ll call you back in a couple days if it’s negative and they’ll vaccinate you.

Can we actually make America healthy again or is that too much to ask at this point?
