If Bondi goes too far she could find herself in a dire legal position if Trump and the GOP lose power.

She better think hard before she makes that stupid ass decision.

    2. fastfurlong on

Bondi needs to serve time – She will of course get some pardon from Trump at the end to cover for her traitorous tenure at the DOJ.

We need to start labeling these people for what they are. traitors to America

    3. Well, she will redact everything and call it done, citing „interference to ongoing investigation“ to force people to vote on a new bill to remove the redaction.

    4. Release the files unredacted. Epstein is dead, none of this information should be kept secret, the truth should be laid bare for the public to see.

    5. AdAgitated7673 on

She has to fully index, summarize, and separately file a report.

They made it twice as hard for her to redact.

Please read the bill: H.R. 4405.

    6. I’m curious how we even *have* Epstein files to redact. Didn’t Bondi swear that there weren’t any? /s

    7. The United States of America is a cesspool of corruption, greed and pedophilia apparently. The rest of the world is just collectively shaking their heads in disappointment. The USA will not recover from this very easily. Everyone responsible for allowing this administration to gain power should be ashamed of themselves.

      I’m disgusted.

      Here’s something ironic.

It says she could redact things for ongoing investigations. Since trump ordered her only to investigate the democrats, if democrat names ARENT redacted, but other names of suspects are, doesn’t that makes republicans and trump himself look even more guilty??

Redacting the files in selective ways could really make them look even worse. Not to mention, this went through the court system, so there are lots or people who know what’s in the files. Expecting everyone will go along with a cover-up becomes harder and harder when people really do look guilty… I would hope… especially when we’re talking about pedophiles.

    9. I keep reading these headlines as “Epstein (subject) files (verb) bill (object)” and I get momentarily very confused as to who is this Epstein congressperson is and what bill they are filing.

Hypothetically, if he suddenly croaks on camera, all pardons are fucked right? Right? Or can they magically appear and president Miller shows up with some autopenned pardons and say Cheeto had then ready

    11. PunfullyObvious on

Hopefully the files being released clearly selectively redacted will empower someone with the complete files to leak an unredacted version for comparison.

Mueller report all over again to hide Trumps crimes. Corrupt AG Barr into criminal AG Bondi. Republican Party is a crime syndicate.

    13. Let’s just mad lib them…

      Trump

      Epstein

      Lolita express

      Secret

      Play time

      Bubba

      Confeffe

      Prince

Release of the Epstein files is going to be a bullshit scam just like every trump activity.

    15. Ok_Juice4449 on

Well, this changes everything.  We will never find out what Trump really did.  I feel so sorry for the victims who have been hoping for justice.

    16. Oh please god ,please tell me the masses weren’t stupid enough to believe the actual Epstein files would be released by trump and his AG. The fix was in the min Johnson changed his tune on the vote for them. Add in all the reports of the FBI and others scrubbing trumps name . The tell will be when trumps name can’t be found anywhere. Or only mentioned when it shows him in good light.

    17. Straight up hilarious if they try. There were hundreds of victims, a bunch of other countries are involved. There’s zero chance this stays secret especially with how this is playing out.

Yes the deep trump people will defend it just like you’d expect but a lot of voters were just dumb and thought Biden/Harris wasn’t doing enough for inflation, also racism/sexism.

    18. manwhowasnthere on

I don’t think anyone of either party will ever be satisfied that the truth has been told, regardless of anything that the government releases.

Epstein was basically the personal concierge of scumbag shit for the ruling class – of course that info was never going to come out. We’ll never know the truth, and the crime will just continue

    19. AceofKnaves44 on

There’s no chance we get the files as they should have been released. Trump is the most stubborn and selfish man alive. There’s zero chance he’d change his position on a whim for any reason but he was assured he would be protected. I imagine after he tried to have the vote blocked and was told a vote to release the files was inevitable, he got Bondi, Patel, and whoever else together and an emergency meeting was held to protect him from the fallout. Either anything related to him has been scrubbed and redacted, or the entire file release has been corrupted and will become the latest tool in Trump’s war against those he feels have wronged him.

    20. This whole Epstein debacle is like watching the X-files, „the truth is out there, trust no one“. And Barr/Bondi is the smoking man/woman.

    21. Itll be the “Mueller Report” 2.0

      A bastardized, blacked out version.

He gets away with it again

    22. roadtrip-ne on

Duh. 1 vote against. They know there base only wants Dem names so that’s what they’re releasing

    23. yrotsihfoedisgnorw on

It’s all a plausible deniability thing. Trump said release the files because he knows Blondi can use the investigations into Clinton and Summers as a reason to not actually release the files. He can also go on saying that he ordered the files released thereby making him look like he’s now leading that charge.

    24. MajorMorelock on

It is against the law for anyone to say Trump’s name in regards to the Epstein files. It’s a matter of national security.

    25. Since we were told several times that the epstein files don’t even exist, wouldn’t the release of them in any capacity mean that several people in this administration lied under oath?

    26. The US AG

Went from having the files on her desk

      To not having the files

To saying the files were case closed

To staying silent when asked questions under oath in front of congress

To now redacting said files she was staying silent on, that she said were closed, that she said she didn’t have, and that were on her desk

This scandal will make Watergate look like a picnic

    27. Honestly at this point the Dems should run on a platform of releasing the full un-redacted Epstein files on day one of their term. And then actually fucking do it. I don’t care how many Dems get caught in the cross fire, they should have thought about that before aiding and abetting/becoming pedophiles.
