Something fishy going on on internet these days
Doubt we’ll get an “AI apocalypse,” but we *might* get a messy mix of bad incentives, rushed deployments, and political panic. Curious to see if he’ll talk about the real risks, like concentration of power, instead of the Hollywood stuff.
I love that so many companies force you to register and make accounts for almost anything with their terrible websites for then there’s a massive data breach every Tuesday.
Probably Russia, or China. But my money is on Liechtenstein. They’ve been too quiet lately.
I’d like to see the list of IPs to get an idea of where the bots are

The majority of the assimilated devices are in residential ISPs in the United States. According to CyberInsider, it now counts more than 300,000 compromised units.
Russia is launching massive cyberattacks against these large cloud-based tech-companies, costing American businesses billions in lost productivity, and nobody is saying shit about it.

OK this is where I get off. I’m 53, had an IBM pcjr in 1980 and always thought I knew a little bit more about tech than the next guy. That day is over.
I wonder why there are not more “traps” in hops for such huge traffic spikes, although a well tuned path or shorter path could still be an attack (or exploiting ai)
Like i could see an azure attacking other azure or copilot etc… like spamming itself … but its odd traffic can travel through so many channels that are not safeguarded along the way between backbones/isps etc in 2025.
Beyond quantum encryption I wonder if we see newer methods of traffic that reject unexpected traffic along paths.

IoT devices are extremely susceptible to being part of botnets because of cheap default security + tons of bad actors having preinstalled spy/botware. And residental IPs are also much harder to detect so
