Interesting. It was decided amongst a majority Inuit Legislature, but still, I wonder what people in Nunavut will feel around that. If they will be okay with „their“ territory being run by a non-inuit person.

On the flip side, it’s also nice to see Inuit people willing to give a non-inuit person an opportunity to run things as well. It shows what I’ve always felt out there, a better spirit of reconciliation in actuality vs what I often feel with indigenous in the south where it sometimes feels very adversarial.
