Congress is just trolling now
‚Canine Relief from Kristi Noem Act‘ would be the appropriate phrasing.
That makes it seem like they’re honoring an animal abuser.
Many psychopaths and serial murderers start out torturing and abusing animals. Not really funny.
I feel like „Cricket’s Law“ would better fit the usual conventions for naming laws after specific incidents: name the law for the victim, not the perpetrator.
But this will do.
