      for the TL:DR people it only applies to the four drivers who brought the complaint and the guy in the picture is not one of them

      No, as soon as AI driving makes a huge impact. These people are first to go.

      Hm, not sure what to think of that. Yes, finally the company doesn’t get away with lousy pay and lousier conditions anymore. That’s a really good thing. On the other hand, a lot of people pick jobs like that BECAUSE they don’t want to be employed, and want to retain the sovereignty and flexibility that comes with not having to take orders from anybody when to work, how long to work, or having to beg for getting a day off.

      I would have loved a solution that would have forced corporations to treat their contractors better, without outright forcing them into employment.

      They are not employees.  
      That would be like saying all sellers on Amazon are employees of Amazon.
