Purely anecdotal but I’m in these circles and see the pattern pretty often: Using Canada as an immigration stepping stone, and then moving south to the States when convenient for the significant boost in compensation.
Often the move isn’t made with the intention of it being a permanent one but it is happening nonetheless.
No surprise there. Until housing is fixed it’s going to keep causing major issues in everything including talent retention.
