I wonder if there are parts of the world where people grow up and then die without ever seeing an airplane fly overhead.

Why don’t I see a line from France to its overseas territories or from NL to the Dutch Caribbean?

For its massive population, Nigeria and Pakistan seem to be empty-ish

Interesting to see the difference between Australia and Canada; comparable populations and comparable size with a low population occupying a massive geography but due to difference in population distribution the flight patterns look completely different

Would be better with great circle routes, not straight lines on Mercator.

Looks like only two flights are listed to Andaman and Nicobar islands in India?
Further it looks like, the flights are to Kolkata and either Chennai/Bangalore?
Pretty sure that there are non stop flights to the islands from all of these cities:
1. Kolkata
2. Chennai
3. Bangalore
4. Mumbai
5. Delhi

I dont see any flights to Puerto Rico or Guam

France and Germany are stars!
Only visible for France because of the exclusion of overseas departments such as Reunion, Saint Pierre and Miquelon, Martinique…

Greenland and Denmark are not considered domestic? At least for now?

Want to see this next to subsidized aviation fuel $$s by country

Guam shouldn’t count because it has separate immigration and customs

There are really flights to places like Tiksi and Pevek, Russia!? They must run really irregularly. Who even lives there.

I’m pretty sure there are supposed to be lines across the world map for US and France.
