Vladivostok is closer to Darwin than Moscow.
If you’ve spent winter in Melbourne in unheated, non-insulated apartments, you won’t be surprised.
Edit: Don’t get me wrong: I love the place, but architects until the 1980s seem to have only known it from tourist postcards.
