Ah balls.
Their rebel red is very tasty!
That frankly sounds more like Coors bought too many microbreweries and is now disposing of them. It seemed to do fairly well on its own at small scale.
A lot of those big operators wanted to add artisan brewers as that’s the way the market has been heading.
Hopefully the brand survives and the employees are looked after and find some decent opportunities elsewhere.
Feck, Rebel Red and Chieftan are absolutely lovely beers, I’ll be devastated if they go away!
Once Coors took them over there were enough independent Irish brewers to support in their place, harsh as that may seem. I stopped buying their stuff once that happened anyway.
Didn’t like. Hopefully staff and facilities are repurposed.
the economies of scale compounded with the cost of living and never ending Irish govt tax increases on alcohol & we’ll be back to drinking mass produced piss owned by foreign corporations in no time
