This was in a period when Soviet Maps were being made deliberately wrong, much more than simple „Trap“ Features.

It’s funny how some Central Europeans believe that it’s the Russians or Soviets who wanted them to be called Eastern European, when in reality, it’s more something that they’re known as in the West
Now, Americans, you see what „Central“ means. It’s countries that are seen as the West by the East and the East by the West.
It looks like West Germany doesnt have a name — as if the Soviets didn’t acknowledge the BRD as a state. DDR is named, however.
