He knows it’s going to pass and doesn’t want himself and republicans in Congress to be seen as blocking the files for midterm elections
This week trump ordered the doj to begin investigating Clinton and other democrats connections to epstein.
He did this for the following reasons:
First – any files connected to an ongoing investigation can not be released.
Second – it appeases maga because he is sticking it to the liberals.
It was only after he did this, that he began lying and claiming that he supports the release of the files.
Release what files? This admin has already said that the files don’t exist. But if they do exist, they’re a Democrat hoax.
Either way, I’m sure Trump’s team totally hasn’t removed his name or any info that could identify him, leaving Democrat names in so he has an excuse to go after political opponents.
Let’s see if the attack on Venezuela begins as the vote is inevitably passed.
This is a textbook Netanyahu strategy of avoiding his corruption trial; bomb your neighbours.
Trump will likely cause this distraction to minimise the files being released.

Its transactional. Trump was protecting ppl in his circles (bIlLiOnAiRs) from innuendo and false connections. (Tho some are probably correct) however, since he thinks HE has nothing to hide, it’s full steam ahead… release da files!!!
Its all political. In reality, my opinion, Epstein was scamming teens, 15-18, making them think they were going to be famous models. Offering them to cronies that assisted him in financial laundering. Offering course being dumb teens they agreed & participated.. I haven’t seen any actual proof of anything, only innuendo and breathless claims from the window lickers & mouth breathers here on reddit fantasizing about pedos & elites eating babies. His ego always wins. The file probably has stuff that is horrible for normal people to hear. But he would rather that and his manhood rather than the constant stream of memes about him sucking off bill clinton or a horse nicknamed bubba.
He flipped because the vote became unavoidable and resisting made him look guilty. By suddenly supporting it, he shifts the narrative to “I have nothing to hide,” keeps party unity and tries to get ahead of whatever comes out.
This is basically Hamilton on broadway… Boring for everyone but it gives the gays something to talk about

people seem to forget, not many (if any) even talked about „the epstein files“ or even knew such a thing existed, until Trump brought them up years ago. (ie; if someone [Trump] knows he would be implicated, why bring them up & introduce the idea of Epstein files to everybody??)
im also not even a Trump supporter, but i do like to call out hypocrisy & bs when i see it.
Because despite of money thrown to “Always Trumpers” X account like catturd, the tide already turned. Only few people are diehard Trumpism, most will prefer to release Epstein files.
Someone have told Trump that while he can easily get the “Always Trump” bloc by resisting the release, the Centrist and the Leaning Right, the one that actually allowed him to win, will not stop thinking about Epstein.
I don’t know but if the rumors are true everyone is involved in some way. Maybe Trump just wants the Democrat names to come out first. Who knows?
Why didn’t dems release all the files before Trump was elected? You know when they controlled the whole government? When they were charging him with countless felonies already? Why not just release the files too? 🤔I seriously wonder this. Maybe it’s because it implicates them all……

He trying the reverse psychology approach.
Maybe they altered a bunch of it, but I honestly don’t know how feasible that would actually be so I can’t really say I think that’s the most likely reason for his flip-flop.
I think the most likely explanations are that either he got assurances from the GOP Senate that they wouldn’t vote for it in that chamber, or he’s going to say that because Bondi is now investigating Clinton, she can’t release anything in the middle of the investigation (remember the reason this all bubbled over was because the DOJ ended the original investigation, announced it over a holiday weekend in the hopes nobody would see it, and then said they weren’t going to release the files.)
My bet is both – if the public sentiment swings a few people in the Senate, then Trump has plausible deniability on the DOJ not releasing anything.
Because there will never be anything of value there. The “files” have never been real. I still don’t know what people expect. Global Intelligence agencies are not in the habit of leaving neat and tidy paper trails.
I wish that justice could be done but at this point I couldn’t care less about the release of the Epstein files because whatever gets released is going to be bull excrement. The intelligence agencies have had many years now to plant and destroy evidence. Epstein is just a divisive distraction at this point and purposely so. Like JFK he’s being turned into an endless rabbit hole of disinformation. I wish I could say there was a possibility that his clients and his puppet-master could reap their just desserts but this is the real world and that is not happening. We are never going to know the full extent of what Epstein was all about and the extent of his corrupting influence.
