      I’m sure these 2 are completely unrelated and they definitely aren’t setting up for some kind of relief request.

      Smart play. Whether Iran’s sincere or not, this gives them the high ground. They should know the current US government isn’t capable of playing nice. This kind of statement lets them do as they please.

      Huh, almost like people would be more than willing to help Iran, if they weren’t: aiding Russia in their unjust invasion, aiding Hamas and Hezbollah.

      I feel for the people suffering who aren’t part of the government/ supporting it. Time to change it.
