I went to porto in summer 2023 with my partner, it was our first time in Portugal and we’d just come from a night in a very small town whose name escapes me right now, but it was truly gorgeous in basically every way. By comparison we found Lisbon quite overwhelming at first, but Porto was much more … legible?

Porto kept surprising us and we hope to visit again sometime and spend a little more time there 💙

    2. No, it’s not. Porto is closed. Go away. It’s full. At capacity due to fire safety rules.

Porto is wonderful and port is delicious 😋. My favourite memory of there was watching the sunset on Jardim do Morro, sipping port, with a great band playing.

The lights along the river make Porto feel magical even before the sunset

    5. Been our go-to destination for the past 10 years and we still find new things to do in and around Porto!

In reality the whole country is crazy from north to south, you haven’t seen Braga, Guimaraes, Obidos, Nisa, Sintra, Evora, Sagres, Espichel, Monsanto, Faro, Quarteira… etc etc get out of the big metropolises there are lots of other incredible cities…. In reality no forget that, and stay 2 or 3 kilometers from the airport where you landed 😊

    7. Unpopular opinion: I found Porto more impressive than Lisbon. Both cities are beautiful though and the people are really chill.
