Cloud nutting
Some of the World’s leading nations when it comes to water efficiency, practically next door. But they chose to ignore science and engineering. I don’t expect miracles from theocrats (hardy har har) but this is such an obvious result, it’s absurd.
Choosing ignorance over the basics of life is just not understandable for me.
Have they tried stealing money from their dam budget some more?

Shocking how little people know about how iran used to be extremely prosperous, brainwashed sheep.
Remember when the US bombed Irans power plants? We are seeing the effects now and people want act like they did this to themselves.
With most of the national resources devoted to uranium enrichment, that’s a lot of fresh water being used for those processes that could be used for this.
Iran will have a bomb and its people will die of thirst.
This will end as terribly as it can. I hate to be a doomsayer, but having been there under inspections myself, this is frightening.
Thank god there is no possibility this could lead to an ecological disaster..
