    1. I wonder how much it would have cost the state to build these projects themselves without any private entity? Would it be cheaper or more expensive to the tax payer in the long run?

    2. Paying your tax to build the roads. Paying private fee to use those roads. Hmm… Right, perfectly legal scam

    3. I’m not at big business brain… But a quick Google told me that the tunnel cost €660 million to build and it was delivered ahead of schedule in 2010.

      Now all added up €76 million sounds like a lot of money (it is) but it is also 11.5% of the total build cost spread out over 15 years (so far). And this guarantee was used to make the tender more competitive and get the build complete. I think the company are also responsible for maintaining the tunnel – a cost we don’t incur.

      €0 million would be ideal, but this doesn’t seem too bad in the grand scheme of things. Just facts turned into a rage bait-ey headline.
