This is a really fucking strange way to say that **AT MINIMUM** ~~589~~ 598 of 614 ice arrests were illegal.
The followup is if the remaining sixteen had any active warrants and the answer is *probably fucking not*.
FYI, 33 percent of citizens have at least a misdemeanor and 8 percent have a felony, so even if they’re only counting felonies, these folks are 50 percent LESS criminal than random citizens.

They have been in Chicago for 2 months.
There are 14 MILLION undocumented immigrants in the US.
1,300 cross the border into the US every day
2,000 overstay their visas every day.
They are spending billions to go backwards.
Why isn’t that talked about more?
If ythey really wanted to do something other than perform for their base they would stop arresting immigrants and start arresting people who employ them.

They arent detaining ms13, or even going into actual high crime areas to detain actual drug dealers or gang members. they are detaining the ones that are playing by the rules (by showing up at immigration courts) and the ones trying to earn an honest living at work sites.

More people should be talking about the cost of all of this. How much has it cost us tax payers to arrest these 614 people?
This shit just pisses me off so much, I’ve known many illegal immigrants over my lifetime and every single one of them were hard working, family oriented, and genuinely good people. I’m certain there are some violent criminals that are also illegal immigrants here as well but would put that number at well under 10% of the total population of illegal immigrants and by no means significant enough to warrant this overreaction of deporting everyone they can find regardless.
Compared to only 80% of Americans having no criminal record. Looks like being an illegal immigrant is a stroing indicator of being a law abiding citizen.
It doesn’t matter if they have a criminal record. Being an undocumented immigrant is more than enough to get you detained and deported. Try it in Japan and see how it goes for ya.

The problem isn’t the worst of the worst. The problem is with the law and its application . If you are undocumented, you can be detained. They need to provide amnesty/better path to citizenship.
