This is basically our side of the deal in terms of the North American/NATO security apparatus.  

We’re never going to be a major supplier of tanks and planes, but we can absolutely supply the raw materials to ensure our friends aren’t dependent on bad actors for them. 

Mining is the easy part. We’ve been doing it inadvertently for decades or more, because REs are found everywhere, diluted amongst the ground (hence the rare moniker). Processing them is the real issue, costs a lot of money because you are running so much media/substrate, and have a lot of environmental protections in place because they are all very toxic. I don’t believe there are any RE processors in Canada though, yet.
