    1. These are very old laws, they are not draconian. It is not like people are killing a cow accidentally and getting punished. Actions have consequences aka Karma.

Religions are so weird. Utterly arbitrary rules handed down for generations with no rationality.

    3. Unfit for work, handicapped. Does this mean if am animal is of no use to you, then you are eligible to kill it. India truly is ironic. Cow is like our mother but when a cow stops producing milk , some indians kill it simply. And why would anyone want to eat any type of animal at all? And I don’t understand a thing. If a bull is born then why is it killed kr ill-treated? I mean humans only force pregnancy on a cow. This is the true nature of so many indians. I know many people so really sweet and loving but I simple can’t stand slaughter of any animal, regardless of the cause unless it’s spreading infections like bird flu, etc.

The only reason why the cow was made sacred is so the serfs would not kill and eat animals needed for farming/plowing and support the upper classes

      This is genuinely deranged.

      You’re a nonce? Two years.
You fancy a beef burger? Ten.

How, in any universe, is that right.

Edit: just because I can’t be arsed with responding to this individually.

It’s actually depressing how noone seems to go ‚yeah you know what. That is a bit fucked up when you think about it‘, but is instead trying to go muh culture muh tradition muh what about dogs when you’re comparing killing a cow and sexual assault.

For the sake of argument, I’d think 10 years in prison for killing a dog is also fucking ridiculous. And I love dogs. ESPECIALLY IF IT WAS A LONGER SENTENCE THAN TOUCHING PEOPLE UP.

      Doing yourselves proud, guys.

    6. For a country who produces and consumes most milk in the world for which more and more cows are impregnated resulting in more and more cows, we had two choices:

      1. Introduce more ethical ways of cow consumption to complete a farm animal life cycle

      2. Let the country’s streets become a cow ranch since cattle rearers will eventually let cows free in streets after their lactation age because they don’t want an added cost without benefit. Whereby they will eat garbage, shit in the streets, and cause accidents OR live in a known delusion where we know our religious beings are exported for consumption in other countries either way.

      We chose the latter.

Accidents by cows are way too many on roads.

Can someone explain this layout to me? I thought most Muslims in India were in the north and west, the very places with the most draconian laws here. Am I wrong, or are the states with the least Muslims (the Indians who are most likely to eat beef) the ones with the more permissive laws on this?

    8. TacticalElite on

This to me is the same as Muslim countries with punishments for saying something about Muhammad.

Fun Fact – India is one of the biggest exporter of buffalo meat in the world.

It’s funny because most of the cow meat that are being consumed in the northeast come from the western states.. mainly from UP..

I’m surprised that it’s banned in the Muslim-majority areas of Jammu and Kashmir. No wonder there’s regular protests.

lol I always love maps made by rndians. They include areas not owned, nor governed by India and then they post stats of that area. Like dude, how do you get stats for those areas?! 🤣

Although cow slaughter isn’t banned in most of the Southern states, there’s been a growing trend towards slaughtering oxen / buffalo instead.

So like i totally get having different levels of bans but holy moly that jump from conditional ban straight to draconian ban escalated QUICKLY
