Yes, far right is growing as more and more people is disapointed with results or the current policies. More and more notice that their life is getting worse and want to change the trend. Current leaders are not working to our profit, and people want a significant change. They start voting for opposite of what we have now.
It’s the political pendulum swinging once again but in the end it’s always the ruling class that benefits
This sub loves the far right. Can’t spit without hitting one.
The EU is literally passing a bill which would allow them to spy on people’s private conversations, they are pushing people into the right as much as they can.
No longer be ignored? They’ve been in power in a good number of member states for a while now, it’s just that our Overton window has been shifting right slowly but surely in the past 10 years that we don’t even realise anymore.
In the last Dutch election most parties, from left to right, all had serious plans for limiting immigration. While I wouldn’t call it a far right issue, the far right is using it mainly to scare the people.
But now it is already a mainstream issue.
And I think that is how democracy should work. If a big part of your population wants something, their voices shouldn’t be ignored. But it should be done in a democratic way, which is something that the far right often ignores
That’s a good thing though.
The far-right parties have only 25% of the seats. There is a deliberate choice from the EPP to talk with them, and destroy good legislation that protects us.
