      I’m just glad American don’t need visa to enter their country, otherwise they will have the highest rejection rate on this matter.

      The conspiracy theorist inside me wants to think this is because trump has both cancer and diabetes and is obviously obese, and his projection and insecurities know no limits.

      Not that I agree with the government I have had patients come from foreign countries with advanced metastatic disease for treatment at public hospitals with full cost to us as US taxpayers.

      Not sure what the solution is but it does burden our system to be fair.

      Ah yes because people flock here for treatment for obesity and diabetes when treatment is so much cheaper in their home countries. The cancer one is just fucking cruel. There are some forms of cancer that are so specialized that the only option for realistic treatment is with specialized oncologists here.

      Their special brand of evil will be remembered, the trials will be televised, and I hope their swift punishments are on pay per view.

      Hasn’t this been a thing for a while now? My parents had stories from the 90’s when they were trying to immigrate, where people were being denied visas for diabetes etc.

      Rubio’s parents weren’t citizens when he was born.  By his party’s logic, he should be deported to Cuba.

      ICE detain legitimate business travellers and takes away essential medicines – that Canadian green card holder *died*. So as an insulin dependent Type I diabetic there’s no way I’m travelling to the United States again until I’m confident this horror is over and the thugs have been purged. Fortunately we have Zoom so I can easily converse with American teams while not burning jet fuel. Nice to get the heads up that the regime considers me life unworthy of life but it won’t change my behaviour any more than previous well reported outrageous wrongs.

      I’m pretty sure most countries have similar policies. With type 1 diabetes specifically, I’m fairly certain that countries tend to look at how well it’s being managed, and if it is, it generally doesn’t result in a would-be immigrant being deemed inadmissible.
