As Donald Trump continues to bolster the U.S. military presence near Venezuela, Russia has vowed to be „ready“ to assist the South American nation. The White House is pressing forward with plans for a strike campaign, which it claims is aimed at cracking down on drug smugglers.

However, experts argue that such attacks on drug boats would violate international law. In May, Caracas and Moscow inked a strategic partnership, and the Kremlin asserts that it stands prepared to act.

Starting to wonder if the Venezuelan campaign is actually a Russian pain point being used as leverage against Russia in Ukraine

Personally I doubt if Donald Trump has lost his allegiance to Putin. Something odd is going on.

Remember when Trump stated that he would enforce strong sanctions against Russia, but only if the EU completely stopped using Russian oil and gas? He made that pledge knowing that Victor Orban was also a Putin ally and Hungary would never ever stop using Russian oil.

Everything with Trump is pretense and lies.

    4. Russia failed to protect every ally, including those under the Collective Secure Treaty Organisation that are neighbouring Russia. With Venezuela, they will send thoughts and prayers.
