Everyone is fixated on AI. Rolling back GDPR won’t address our cloud deficit. We lack competitive hyperscalers, which are necessary to power not only AI but existing applications today.
The EU doesn’t care about digital sovereignty and actual citizen online security, as proven by their actions/decisions. They like US tech, Trump and Heritage Foundation bribes, they love surveillance and they love creating as much distrust in societies as the propagandists they fear (nowadays any real criticism of EU is far-right, Russian bot, Chinese bot or some irrelevant we should fear).
This is like a prelude to fines/more taxes, not actual change.
If they cared, would chat control be pushed so hard?
Start searching for hidden offshore bank accounts of people in the EU who can allow this to happen.
