Ich bin daran interessiert, einige der deutschen Traditionen zu hören, die Sie alle zu Weihnachten haben.
Da meine Mutter aus Marbach am Neckar (in der Nähe von Stuttgart) stammt, werden regionale Traditionen von dort besonders geschätzt.
Ich mache jedes Jahr Rouladen zum Abendessen an Heiligabend. Ich habe kürzlich erfahren, dass dies speziell „Rouladen“ heißt.Rinderrouladen‚. Ich mache warmen Kartoffelsalat, wie ihn meine Mutter und ihre Mutter gemacht haben, und dazu Rotkohl.
Ich habe dieses Jahr vor Weihnachten zwei Wochen frei und möchte der Liste noch einige weitere deutsche Traditionen hinzufügen.

Braten! Pork or beef roast, gravy, Semmelknödel / Kattoffelknödel, Apfelrotkohl (red cabbage with small bits of apple)
I prefer potato dumplings inatead of the salad, but thats a Thuringian thing.
Also have Bratapfel as dessert
A lot of traditions are part of Advent, like Adventskalender and Adventskranz. There’s also St.Nikolaus who puts sweets, nuts, fruit and little gifts into the shoes of children in the night of 6th December. And of course baking Christmas cookies, making a gingerbread house, decorating the tree and the apartment, singing Christmas carols, going to the markets …
For food my family has the tradition that everyone cooks/ prepares a different part of the menu.
