As lithuanian i am amazed how we ( balts ) holded back from total slavicization!

      Baltic power!

    2. During USSR archeologists constatly were finding slavic settlements in Moldova, after independence they find only getic settlements, could be an explanation why the green color is exactly like USSR borders. The β€žslavs” kind of knew in 800 where the Yalta borders would lay.

The map originates from PRL (Polish People’s Republic 1945-1989). It is not inherently inaccurate but during that period the pan-Slavism was quite popular because it justified current political borders.. Especially the border between Germany and Poland on river Oder and Niesse. Clumping some Slavic tribes under Plemiona Polskie (Polish tribes) is a stretch of creativity.

    4. It’s somewhat accurate, but the green area in Transcarpathia and everywhere else basically is anachronistic and overzealous, Southern Transdanubia/Baranya was mainly Avar still and the Bulgarians are missing from Transylvania. Slavic presence in Greece is also excessive.
