China’s emissions are dropping year over year. We need to do everything we can to modernize our energy grid and drop emissions.
It will lead to cheaper electricity as well.
Why should the provinces care about carbon emissions when it’s Ottawa that will take the heat when being laggard has consequences. Case in point, Alberta. If they separate our consolation prize is it will have the RoC meeting its climate targets overnight yet Smith is snug as a bug, emissions are protected and her base thinks its hilarious.
