so let me get this straight they demolished a historic train station that survived multiple wars just to build luxury apartments for rich foreigners while most people there are struggling financially
I have many friends in Belgrade and most of them fear a maidan-esque situation in the coming months. The government is escalating since the main protests over the Novi Sad disaster. Several young people have dissapeared or been found dead with their deaths immediately classified as suicide. Schools keep opening and closing out of fear. There was a anti government „terrorist attack“ near the parliament a few weeks ago that literally none of them believe it was real.
