I recently got a book that talks about shipwrecks in the Great Lakes, I’ll have to pull that off the shelf today. It really is amazing how big and dangerous storms can get over Superior. Even for its size, it’s just surprising how a very landlocked body of water can turn into deadly seas

    2. For a brief period I dated a woman who claimed to be psychic. She said that in a previous life I had died going down with the Edmund Fitzgerald. Years later, out of curiosity, I did the math. I was about 7 years old at the time it sunk.

It’s something i always thought of as having happened much longer ago.

Home Free’s cover of “The Wreck of the Edmond Fitzgerald” is hauntingly beautiful. Give it a listen as well.

My dad was standing up in living room drinking coffee watching news, it was freezing outside he lived near Erie PA at time of the sinking. So he heard about the ship sinking. He got ready for work. He realized those crew must have treaded frigid water with *this* weather. Yeah it kinda made him feel sad
