He needed to go *months* ago. (Wait… do they mean what I *think* they mean by „needs to go“? Because I can think of two different meanings…)

He needed to go before this. If this was what did it for you, I’m sad to say you haven’t been paying enough attention.

Not that Dems were going to win this, but Schumer could have controlled the narrative and the message at the end. he failed in every possible way.

He is weak and if dems want to show they care they need to replace him as minority leader tomorrow.

To borrow a line from the group Death Grips:

      „That’s right 13 times out of 11.“

If only his stamina to fight the gop was the same as his resolve to defend his ineptitude

How about all Rich People of power who will always benefit from our poverty, no matter what side of the political spectrum they sit on, be removed and prosecuted for crimes against humanity? Why do 319,999,500 people suffer to make 500 fucking people have more individual wealth than any state in our union? WAKE THE FUCK UP AND RISE AMERICA

The Democratic Senate caucus coordinated behind the scenes to get this result. The one who jumped on the metaphorical grenade were just the ones who were least vulnerable to elections.

If you have democratic senators, and you don’t like what happened last night, but let them know that unless they push for Schumer’s ouster, you’ll assume they were in on it, and you will 100% remind everyone you can at primary time.

Democrats need to stop trying to win a game that’s rigged. Stop playing. Make a new game.

How didn’t people see this coming the week after elections? It was always the plan!

I saw this tweet that really summarizes how I feel about the Democrat party at this moment in time:

sometimes i feel like the republican party is a big tornado that is coming to kill me. and the democratic party is the rickety shed that i’m hiding in. and i say „we should really fix this shed, because it’s not doing much.“ and people say „what? why aren’t you criticizing the tornado instead?!“

He’s just awful. I swear to God, the consistent images of him hunched over a podium with his reading glasses is making our party look feeble and outdated. Not to mention he has no game when counter attacking Trump and definitely no ability to go on the attack.

    13. Schumer needed to go well over a decade ago.  I cannot wait for the next primary for US senator (NY)

I’ve been very cautious about calling for primary challenges to democrats, even when they aren’t perfect.

This shutdown capitulation has cured me of that.

    15. Call your local senator or representative. I just did my two senators thanking them for voting NO yesterday and they need to put pressure on their peers to vote NO and hold strong until we get permanent Obamacare subsidies. One answered and was helpful to pass along and the other I left a message. I used this link from .gov to obtain the #

The Democratic Party is really such a disappointment., we need a Zohran Mamdani to usher in a new Socialist Democrat Party because this Party clearly does not work.I would jump ship in a heartbeat if we could.

    17. A reminder that these are the Democratic Senators that voted for this, let them know how you feel about it.

*Any* ~~democrat~~ politician who capitulates to these fascists needs to go, no matter when their upcoming election is.

He is ineffective or complacent. He should not be the Senate Democratic leader.

Honestly wr need to remove the entire old guard from both parties.. they have shown they can not be trusted to govern our country.. if you are over 60 you really shouldn’t be able to hold office imo.. at that point you are no longer invested in the future you wont see

    21. sharingsilently on

I just registered Independent. The whole damn party was complicit. Now Trump knows he can get away with anything. There goes health care, here comes Fascism.

I hope the Traitorous Eight don’t have kids – how would they ever explain such cowardice.
