I’d be interested to see this map pre and post 2020…

Interesting choice to use a baby for Millenials, as babies aren’t even Gen Z at this point

The youngest Millenial is 30…so the map of course portrays them as babies.

It is so hilarious to put millennials as babies lol. It is so fitting. Put the boomers and gen x as geriatric babies too! Haha. I laughing so hard it is hilarious!

The rapidly aging population of Europe as a continent is super apparent here.
As a lot in volume of boomers born are the children of the Greatest Generation and the older Silent Generation, but had much fewer Millennials and Gen Z children.
Don’t get me started on how boomers were born into a time of economic prosperity, compared to Millennials, and to a lesser extent, Gen X.

Can we not use USAian generational terminologies for Europe?
Especially the Boomer and GenX: these terms were derived in the USA according to their economic situation. Most of Europe at the time was lagging behind (wars, soviet blok, etc).
And as such, the terms for pre-1990/1992 are meaningless.

What’s up with Sweden?

Millennials are babies and yet the latest they can be born is 1994…

Seriously. Why some euro countries have so much boomers and less Gen X. France has more boomers than Belgium but Belgium has more Gen X. Belgium not suffered of the war like France. Then why?

Now that we have seen some of Gen Z (although we don’t know how will they evolve) it still strikes me how Gen X are still the odd one out in everything.

Why do you use McCrindle for your ranges? Millennials start in 1981 and extends to 1997. Check out r/generationology for more info on the topic. McCrindle ranges are outdated.

Why are they using the dumb af American corporate generation terminology? It’s just made up pseudo science. Also millennials are until 1997 and not 94.
Just just by the decades

I don’t like this statistics, because Baby Boomers generation is longer (1946-64) than subsequent generations.
In Poland there are more people per year in Millenials than GenX (as the map would suggest).
For 5-year bins the biggest one is those 40-44 year old, which means born 1981-85, that’s early Millenials.

Are these divisions now considered global?
Germany should be dogs
MIDDLE AGED BABIES
Aren’t millennials until 1996?
Millenials have Kids now… since 10 Years
Might be a dumb question: why does the boomer generation span 20 yrs while the other two about 15?
I really doubt UK data is up to date. For comparison:
* Norway: 0-14 (16.3%), 15-64 (64.8%), +65 (18.9%) -> Purple
* Switzerland: 0-14 (15.2%), 15-64 (66.4%), +65 (18.3%) -> Purple
* UK: 0-14 (17.2%), 15-64 (64.0%), +65 (18.8%) -> Green?
In my country babyboom is 1945-1955,
gen X is 1955-1970
an extra generation 1970-1985,
millennials 1985-2000,
gen Z 2000-2015,
gen alpha 2015-
probably a Gen X who did this map.. 😅 doesn‘t even recognize Gen Z and the last one..
The symbols show just what happens when Gen X is left in charge. Everyone else is either an old fogey or a toddler.
