This is a neat little flow for a simple nasa science objective, but is NOT ‘how money is made in the space industry’. It doesn’t even show (inaccurately represents) how the money flows from the original government objective through nasa, science centers, universities, prime contractors, launch contracts, etc.
Here is an example of info that might better represent how money is made, but admittedly doesn’t try to show how money ‘flows’ to enable space missions.
