Country that is obsessed with having guns so the king of England cant push them around … is perfectly ok with home grown Dictatorship.

    2. I am a calm, reasonable and rational person, but they are succeeding to change me. I feel physical symptoms of anger in my chest while reading this. It is crazy

United States government is now more corrupted than many of the unstable countries in the world. Very sad

Really not sure how the US is going to dig themselves out of this

I am so sick and tired of the media refusing to identify Jan 6 correctly – it was an INSURRECTION.

Yep, them protests sure got the right message across.

The kingliness in these parts is mighty breathtaking.

America’s Mayor is back on top.

What a magnificently well connected crime family.

I’ll bet there’s going to be lots of merriment among the wealthy, this holiday season.

For those that are not aware, accepting a pardon means admitting to the crime.

    8. Shocker: a repudiation of fomenting an insurrection by spreading lies and misinformation was on the ballot in 2024 and the American people voted to say it wasn’t bad.

What the fuck else did we expect?

    9. They aren’t federally charged, they are state charges, this is tampering with state charges, clear obstruction of justice

Weird how he keeps needing to pardon people he says are totally innocent.

Signaling to those who will do the same in 2026 and 2028 that he has their backs.

So, Trump is now admitting he ordered the overthrow of American democracy as an official act during his first term.

Funny Americans, pardons haven’t been used in European countries since the abolition of monarchy.

I try now not to spend a cent in the USA. It’s difficult but I’m far from the only one. Corrupt to he core despite millions of decent people who don’t support this.

    15. Trump will soon have all the criminals out on the streets and all the law abiding citizens locked up.
      Winner winner, toast for dinner!

If the democrats ever control all branches government again, the first thing they should do is remove the pardon powers from the executive. It has no value and is now a way for the president to use it for organized crime.

That includes the president being able to pardon himself. It’s insane that we have the idea in the first place.

      > Presidential pardons apply only to federal crimes, and none of the Trump allies named were charged in federal cases over the 2020 election. But the move underscores Trump’s continued efforts to rewrite the history of the election he lost to Democrat Joe Biden.

Unsurprisingly, this is completely performative. The pardons don’t mean anything bc they weren’t charged with federal crimes.

      Classic Trump.

If they were charged by the state, a federal pardon won’t help. So I am told.
