Nothing’s going to happen, because Putin and Lavrov’s future as breathing humans on this planet, it’s only extended by the war continuing. And Trump is not going to give President Zelenskyy, long range missiles because that would be the right thing to do, and since when has Donald Trump ever done that? Perhaps President Zelenskyy should offer to name a football stadium in Chervonograd ask him?
I’m sorry, excuse me. I meant to say the reprehensible invasion of Russia into Ukraine and occupying portions of a sovereign nation that they gained control of through rape, murder, and destruction.

Russia’s foreign minister, Sergei Lavrov, emerged from seclusion to say he was ready to meet the US secretary of state, Marco Rubio, to discuss the war in Ukraine and mending bilateral ties. It breaks a weeks-long absence of Lavrov from the public sphere after the collapse of attempts to stage a Putin-Trump summit in Hungary. Speaking to Russia’s Ria state news agency, Lavrov signalled there was no change in Moscow’s maximalist demands for Ukraine’s capitulation. He said peace could not be achieved without “taking Russian interests into account”.

Trump is happy to give away 3 oblasts of Ukraine or ban Ukraine entering NATO any time over Ukraine’s head. Russia just had to superficially make this deal a compromise, just giving up some tiny part of their demands. They wont do that. And it looks like Trump (although not caring about Ukraine) does not want to assist to a full capitulation either.
