Complains about science and scientists as a whole while complaining about this corporation that is being allowed to police itself. This is how we got oil execs saying fossil fuels don’t affect the atmosphere and tobacco execs testifying that tobacco doesn’t cause cancer.
Public science journalism has sucked for a LONG time. Science is rarely worthy of attention grabbing headlines so the journalists spice stuff up and blow them out of proportion. And of course, don’t critically check their sources.
You can rarely count on non-science oriented journalism to report on science in a trustworthy fashion.
Bring back the Fairness Doctrine, then media would have to tell both sides or they would lose their license.
You need to study and learn all the way up to consensus, and then have differing opinions on the science with new findings. Otherwise, you’re just a twitter bitch contrarian.
