90+ million people in Iran how many will be displaced, and if the capitol needs to be evacuated where are they gonna find the infrastructure (water, electricity housing) to manage and take care of that displaced population.
There have also been concerns for years and decades about massive failure of the state so I believe there are huge problems what little comes out of Iran makes that quite clear but whether or not it’ll be a regime shaking humanitarian disaster is yet to be seen.
Fuck the regime. My grandmother prayed everyday post ’79 to be able to go back and visit where her family lived and see her family’s graves again. I look forward to seeing Cyrus’s tomb and walk those streets.

Well, this is on them. All those useless dams. All that money wasted on terrorism.
Yeah the whole Middle East is fucked by climate change and poor government. They could make peace with Israel and get tons of US and Israeli support if they did. That would require the regime to change though. Israel desalination efforts are one of the only middle eastern countries preparing for this.
Maybe Cuba, North Korea, Syria, and Venezuela can help them out. They’re well known for handling humanitarian crises well.
