Hallo zusammen.

    1. If its fresh mince, some people will serve it like that, if it was frozen it can give you food poisoning.

    2. Burger should never be medium!!! Always well done as it’s made by grounded meat and the bacterial charge is much higher in grounded meat.

Nah, pink is one thing but it should be just that, a little pink; not raw or red; this was probably cooked from frozen and someone pulled it too early

So you are 90% of the burger but now you’re asking us if it’s undercooked?

Food safety auditor here; no it’s not safe. It’s never safe to eat undercooked burgers. I am going to spare you the explanation unless you ask for it.

    6. This is undercooked by „pink“ standards, but burgers can be served pink.

If the beef is well sourced and you trust the place serving it then you shouldn’t need to worry about all the scares people are posting here.

    7. Undercooked. This idea of medium cooked burgers is wrong. Minced beef has to be cooked all the way through

Undercooked. This obsession that originated in America that burgers need a temperature like a steak is wrong. Mince needs cooked through.

That’s clearly undercooked. They messed up, agreed to replace it but wanted to cover their asses with the classic „that’s how we always do it and no one complains“

    10. I did have a similar experience, they took our order wrong and remade our order, serving it as fast as possible where we had an undercooked patty. Having raw areas isn’t really ideal in burgers. See the explanation from Hydra.

I think they cook them from frozen and end up like that. Ideally they have a high fat content to allow the fat to render, keep the burger juicy which also cooks it to a safe temperature.

It’s undercooked mate. I love a good medium burger… if I’ve made it myself and I know it’s 100% beef, not with pork mixed in.
