TBH: I’m a bit ambivalent toward Newsom as an apparent favorite for the ’28 elections. But he’d be at least an acceptable potus and what is there now is outrageously unacceptable.
That’s basically what the entire American conservative movement has always been! All their grievances are things they are afraid of and all their talking points are always based on „Fear of the other“.
Other than tax breaks for the rich that’s all the party has ever been about as long as I can remember.
