This woman is taking a tougher stand than Japanese PM’s have taken in the past, and it is not clear if that is in line with the people of Japan and their opinions. „Takaichi while running for president of the Liberal Democratic Party in the past clearly stated that a military contingency by China against Taiwan was, in effect, a military action against Japan.“ So she is saying she would commit Japan to military action in support of Taiwan in some situations.

War war war war…someone tell her to watch Grave of the Fireflies about the last time her country was gung ho for it.

    3. No country in the world would support Taiwan with active military support. If Japan would do that, Japan would become a target for Chinese missiles.

She is just being realistic that China wouldn’t stop at Taiwan. Taiwan is like Crimea when Russia took it. Russia just got even more greedy and want more when they got away with it. If Russia was stopped from taking Crimea we would have had peace in Europe again.

China wants its Empire back. And that means ALL the islands around it need to be taken. Japan know what that meant.

    5. She’s a right wing racist imperialist hawk but perhaps this is what is needed to keep China in check a little and seek different solutions to Taiwan.
