How much it cost you and what speed are you getting after installation?

I am thinking of getting one too, Magti is just disgusting. Even if you have 100mbps on paper, you still get terrible and unstable ping in games and the network in general just behaves bad with random delays on new connections.

How is your experience in multiplayer games?

In any normal country, you shouldn’t be forced to switch from fiber to Starlink or cellular 🙂 Consumer fiber connection in Georgia is absolute dogshit!

The ping is unbearable for the price magti charges monthly, is it any better with starlink ? Do you get below 40/30 for that price range ?

    5. a lot of people in this thread completely clueless about how ping works apparently. you get high ping when you are far away from whatever server you connect to. For example in the odd game that has servers in Bulgaria/Ukraine etc you will get your 40/50 ping. if the server is in the UK, Germany etc.. expect 70-90 regardless of ISP.

    6. I do not know what you do that you need such speed. I have 90 mbp magti internet and it is totally fine for average consumer. Sure they are making money on us and it could be better, but its not like internet is unusable and you have to pay triple of magti fee on starlink. I am not shareholder of Magti 😀 😀

    7. I don’t know if I should switch from silknet to magti.

I have been getting much more ping on games for a few months at this point and in some cases it’s even double on Ethernet even without any other device connected to the router, on top of that my friend who lives on the other side of Tbilisi also experiences something similar it might just be a coincidence.

If anyone can testify that be great.

    8. Well. I used to have similar issue with cellfie or how it’s called. But the problem was due to the polluted radio airways with 2.4G. Switched to Netgear Mesh infrastructure and it works great.

But the upload speed sucks. Download speed is the only priority with starlink

    11. I’m going to be honest with you, this is pretty silly considering the amounts of money you spent. Using 5G is the faster and MUCH cheaper option. Magti has 30 days unlimited internet that’s actually unlimited without that 50 000mb bullshit for 35₾ a month and you could’ve bought a 5G router for MUCH cheaper or used a phone hotspot. Even buying a 5G modem board and setting it up with a router would have cost you much less lol. 5G boards are pretty cheap.

I easily get 1200mb/sec on download with magti, though the upload speed is much lower because I’m using a phone. Best case scenario it’s 250mb/sec, but with a big and more powerful receiver you could get more. It would still cost significantly less and be more stable than a satellite connection…

    12. Can you plug an ithernet cable into that thing? I’m kinda used to being on a wire…
