8. November 1847. Abraham (Bram) Stoker wurde in Dublin, Irland, geboren. Sein berühmtestes Werk, Dracula (1897), stützte sich auf siebenbürgische Legenden, mitteleuropäische Folklore und die gotischen Traditionen Großbritanniens und des Kontinents und verschmolz sie zu einem der beständigsten literarischen Werke Europas.

When Stoker wrote Dracula, Transylvania was part of Hungary. The picture features Hungarian actor Béla Lugosi playing the title character in the 1931 Hollywood film Dracula, arguably the most famous adaptation of the novel ever.
