Crazy thing for the non Winnipeg folks it that is Tom Brodbeck is a conservative, much like Charles Adler thse have fully rejected the MAGA style politics. If you at all listened to them in the early 2000’s you would be shocked to see and read the stuff they had been putting out in the last 5 years.

    2. We saw hints of this a couple years ago with the Alain Rayes situation. (A Quebec MP who left the Conservatives shortly after Poilievre was elected due to ideological differences. Rayes also documented both harassment that he received from CPC members while in the party after Poilievre’s victory & the anti-abortion networks and support within the party). d’Entremont might be the first to do so after Poilievre won the CPC leadership, but he’s probably right that there are more people in the party’s moderate wing like him that are increasingly disillusioned as a result of Poilievre’s leadership.

It also helps that Carney is significantly more palatable for moderate CPC MPs & voters than Trudeau, which makes defections more likely. (The same floor crossing would have been much less likely under Trudeau etc.)

I’m honestly more surprised at how few of them seem to care about the way Poilievre runs the party.

I guess if you’re a true believer in the tenets of conservatism it doesn’t matter who runs the party, as long as you win? But man, they’ve become such an incredibly dishonest and trollish group, and it only seems to be getting worse.

I can’t imagine being some small government, law and order conservative and having to retweet Jivani’s „National Forum to End Liberal Racism“ shitposting.

    4. Who really wants to work for a boss (pp) who allegedly threatens and intimidates them when they’re having a  temper tantrum? Especially when the other boss (mc) is actually probably more aligned with their core political values? This budget is frankly a conservative budget. It’s likely easy for Con mps to support. And pp has very recently behaved in what I personally see as unserious, unprofessional and extremist sensationalist ways and also aligned with shady people. And apparently is threatening doxxing and blackmail? So like honestly if you worked for someone like that, would you stay when you could just do your exact same job with a moderate, rational and professional leader?

The Liberals have abandoned the average Canadian, and Poilievre has abandoned Canadian conservatives. Neither of the two major parties are working as they should. Though at least the Liberals are still functioning.

The NDP is leaderless at this point too. Wish I could vote Bloc in BC…

PP should not even be the leader of the CPC. If he had any sense of honour, he would have resigned after losing the last election and his own riding.

He has made me leave the Conservative Party as his views of what conservative values do not align with mine.

The Conservatives need to move back to the middle of the political spectrum.

The CPC will not will any election with PP as the leader.
