      I can tell you that ‘Kanker’ is in the bottom 10 used words in Suriname. It’s the #1 for Netherlands only.

      The actual #1 curse word is a tie between Kaulo (close enough to ‘fuck’) and Ma Pang Pang (your mother’s hole)

      If you actually curse with ‘Kanker’ – you would get hit with anything in close proximity as we don’t play around with disrespecting the diseased like that specifically there

      aside from Jamaica being lumped into South America, this is fairly accurate.

      my sister and i recently discussed its etymology. i was under the impression it was blood clot, but she corrected me it was blood cloth, or more accurately a bloody tampon.

      I lived in Bolivia for 2 years and I’ve never heard them use the word “pelotudo” once. “Puta” was probably the most used curse I heard, in various combinations.
