Gestern Abend habe ich mir die Matrix noch einmal für etwa 100 Minuten angeschautTh Diesmal kam es mir so vor, als wäre es eine Szene, und es kam mir so vor, als wäre es anders, und ich fand es aufschlussreich.
Die Szene war die, in der Cypher im Restaurant sitzt, ein simuliertes Steak isst und Agent Smith sagt, dass er zurück in eine falsche Welt mit Geld, Ruhm und keinerlei Bewusstsein, dass das alles künstlich ist, eingebunden werden möchte. Und ich saß zum ersten Mal da und dachte: Wenn ich den Unterschied merke und mein Leben großartig wäre, wen interessiert das, dann schließen Sie mich an.
Bisher würde ich sagen, dass Sie die Option „echte Welt“ wählen sollten. Aber tief im Inneren war ich mir nie 100 % sicher, denn wenn ich es nicht sagen kann, was ist dann der wirkliche Unterschied?
Vielleicht liegt es an der Welt und daran, wie sie sich verändert, aber wenn Sie den Unterschied zwischen der Realität und einer perfekten Simulation, denselben Sinnen, denselben Emotionen, denselben Erinnerungen, keinen Pannen, keinem Leid nicht erkennen könnten, es sei denn, Sie hätten danach gefragt, welchen Sinn hätte es, sich für die harte Version zu entscheiden?
Unsere Vorfahren hatten diese Wahl nie. Sie drängten sich einfach durchs Leben, weil es keine Alternative gab. Aber jetzt? Wir sind erschöpft, überreizt und träumen insgeheim mehr von Flucht, als wir wahrscheinlich zugeben, zumindest einige von uns.
Hier ist also die eigentliche Frage:
Wenn die Cypher-Option real würde, ein perfektes, nicht unterscheidbares simuliertes Leben, alle Ihre Freunde und Familie und Ihre Haustiere dabei, würden Sie es nehmen?
Ich müsste zuerst das Steak probieren ;P

I thought it when I first saw the movie in the 90s. Why on earth would I want reality in that world where they are all filthy dirty and living like cave people? Only attraction was a very young and pretty Keanu.

The Cypher example is somewhat flawed, as he’s coerced into betraying his friends. If there were a way to transfer one’s consciousness to another realm without any moral consequences, I think many of us would take it. We’ve all woken from pleasant dreams, only to face the harsh reality of a full day’s work ahead. The difference is that a simulation of reality would have to be less complex than reality itself.in reality we can go down to atoms and smaller. In the simulation you would have to stop somewhere for computing purposes.the simulation would be overall less complex and be a watered down version f reality with stupid rules to keep everything working.
More importantly though, the simulation is not reality, therefore it would be a lie. You would be living a lie out of fear of death or discomfort and you wouldnt be able to know what you sre missing because we dot know all of the intracocies of life and reality and maybe you want to be around for the real stuff when it goes down or you might just be like a prisoner in his cell while outside everything is changing and you cant participate because you’re stuck in a lie.
I would not trust any simulated reality. Guaranteed to glitch out and possibly cause me to get stuck in an infinite time loop of torture or some shit because I fell theough thr world and warped into the walls or something.
