      AP hasn’t called it yet (as of 8:23PM EST) but the distance between them is so wide I highly doubt Jack will catch up. What a win!

      Among other things, Trump cutting infrastructure funding to the state right before election was such a stupid idea. It was a gift to Sherrill to have Republicans put in a worse light.

      Wow, tonight’s gonna be a great night for Democrats. Looking increasingly likely that Dems will win a clean sweep of all the big races in Virginia, New Jersey, New York, and California.

      Does current Gov. Phil Murphy (D) name a replacement or is there a special election? In any event, do Republicans once again deprive the people of the district of their representative as they are with Grijalva?

      People are PISSED. The GOP has absolutely no chance at winning in 2026 or 2028 unless they clearly rig it, which Trump is actively trying to do because he knows everyone hates him, his administration, and their shitty anti-American actions and policies.

      As much as I wish this is true I do not want to count my chickens before they are hatched and jinx it, mostly with the polling Shenanigan’s that took place earlier today…let’s hope prop 50 goes well that is a super important one to counter gerrymandering in red states that is currently taking place.

      We’re all excited for Mamdani (rightfully so) but let’s be real, this was the one to watch with all the bomb threats and election interference. All of it performative MAGA terror tactics just like January 6th, and all of it failed.

      Liberty was preserved tonight. For once in many months I finally have hope.

      I unfortunately had to move out of Jersey for work this year and was scared I was going to have to figure out how to get my parents to follow me if Sherrill lost.

      Last poll I saw on this race yesterday or this morning only had the Dem up by 4% …. This is was a blowout considering that

      I’m so fucking happy! I’ll admit I’ve been incredibly pessimistic since the Presidential election. Jersey does have a larger MAGA sheep base than I think other states realize. There were A LOT of signs and events for Jack. It was tense leading up today.

      But my state stood the fuck up, showed out and straight up said we aren’t going to be another complicit MAGA Hell hole. And I’m so fucking happy about that.

      This election was a referendum on our state not supporting MAGA. It was loud and I’m so happy it turned out this way.

      “Wins” is an understatement. She CRUSHED Ciattarelli. New Jersey has been trending purple recently; Kamala only won the state by 6 points. and Murphy’s reelection campaign in 2021 won by 3.

      Sherrill won by **13**

      She outperformed the 2024 numbers in nearly every county, flipped 5 Trump counties, and improved the Democratic margin in at least one county by *12* points.

      This is an incredible victory for Sherrill, and is a sign that the midterms could be *very* good for Democrats.
