How can a crime like this only get 5 years? I don’t understand it. This is a cruel and brutal thing he did to another person, a minor at that. What will change with him in 5 years? He doesn’t deserve to be in our society, he’s disgusting.
They need to set up a remedial program to train the Judges and if they’re still inept, incapable and out of touch afterwards then emergency retire them immediately.

Despite all our political hand-wringing about supporting mental health we just leave people out in the cold and at the most crucial time. In an attempt to treat everyone we end up treating no one. It makes me sick.
